Will Allen from Growing Power (www.growingpower.org) in Milwaukee is kicking off the Spring Resource Fair, highlighting his organization’s innovative work on bridging cultures through gardening. 

Activities for the kids, workshops, and engaging educational displays during the day.  Raffle prizes, music and food top off the fun!

 The free conference will bring together 700 volunteer leaders from block clubs, neighborhoods, schools, congregations, garden clubs and lake associations to plan projects they want to carry out in the spring and summer to help reduce global warming and prepare for energy and climate uncertainty. Tot’s Rock 2008

Tots Rock is back!  A dance party for ages 6 months to 7 years of age, nearly 200 people came out last March to boogie to our DJ’s.  Here’s your chance to join in the fun!

 

Date: Saturday, March 29th

Time: 4-7pm

Venue: Windom South Community Center Gym,

5821 Wentworth Ave. South, Minneapolis

Ages: Kids 6 months to 7 years of age

Cost: $3.00 per child, kids 1 year and under free

Highlights:

 

v      Kids will rock out to a live DJ playing songs appropriate for their age group.

 

v      Bubbles, balls, blow up guitars, temporary tattoos, and ribbons will keep your kids entertained!

 

v      A chill room with coloring, craft projects, and snacks is available when the little ones are ready for a break from the dance floor.

 

This is a great opportunity to shake off those winter blues!  Take the kids out for a fun-filled, community event.  Get to know your neighbors while you are there and learn more about your local community center.
