What percentage of residential burglaries may easily be thwarted by following a few simple tips? Please come and join us for a free residential burglary prevention workshop to find out.
The home security workshop will be held on Thursday, December 4 at Temple Israel– 2324 Emerson Av S from 6:00-8:00 p.m. There will be a question and answer session immediately following the presentation for those who would like to participate.
Topics covered include: physical safety (i.e. locks and windows), Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED), and the importance of block clubs and neighborhood associations. There will also be a DVD presentation with an interview of a career burglar who explains his motivations for choosing a particular house instead of another to burglarize.
There is no need to pre-register. This event is free to anyone who is interested in attending.

Good Morning,
I am part of the Crosstown Reconstruction Public Information Team.
First of all, let me say thank you for your patience during our
construction project. I know how disruptive road construction can be,
and we do appreciate your cooperation.
Most importantly, I am emailing to invite you to “have a cup of coffee
on us” to celebrate the re-opening of the 50th Street bridge. The
bridge is scheduled to open in late November, weather permitting, and we
have planned a small celebration for November 15 at Anodyne Coffeehouse
at 4301 Nicollet Avenue, Minneapolis. Please stop in at Anodynes on the
15th between 10:00 AM and Noon and help yourself to a free cup of coffee
(while supplies last).
Also Crosstown representatives will be present to answer any of your
questions. Please extend this invitation to your neighborhood group,
and we hope to see you on November 15. If you have any questions about
our upcoming celebration, or about the Crosstown project in general,
please do not hesitate to contact me at 1-866-743-6590.
Have a good day,
susan
