Thank you, thank you for your letters of support to move up the resurfacing of Nicollet Avenue. I’ve had many conversations with Public Works regarding this project and they’ve agreed to swap Nicollet with Chicago Avenue. I feel this makes sense, as the rest of the Oak Hill project (including DLR) will be completed in 2010.

I also negotiated for the portion of DLR in front of Diamond Lake to have a probable start date of 2011 and Chicago Avenue 2012. This is a major boon for Ward 11 as, originally, the portion of DLR in front of Diamond Lake wasn’t scheduled until 2012 and Nicollet 2014.

Your collective voices allowed me to advocate for these changes. Thank you and congratulations.
